Recap: Keenan Raiders vs. Ridge View Blazers
The Keenan Raiders won the last time they faced the Ridge View Blazers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Keenan secured a 49-45 W over Ridge View. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Keenan.
Keenan found their leader in underclassman Taelor Lee-sutton, who scored 20 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Lee-sutton has scored at least 25% of Keenan's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samiyah Hicks, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Ridge View's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Destiny Drakeford, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. Anasia Harvey was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Ridge View were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Keenan only pulled down eight.
Keenan now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ridge View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Keenan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lower Richland at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Lower Richland is ranked 87th, while Keenan is ranked 70th). As for Ridge View, they will head out on the road to face off against Blythewood at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday.
