Basketball Recap: East Henderson Eagles vs. Smoky Mountain Mustangs
East Henderson lost against Smoky Mountain back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Henderson Eagles fell 58-50 to the Smoky Mountain Mustangs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kassie Everson and Mamie Hill certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Everson posted 26 points and five boards, while Hill went 7 for 13 en route to 16 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those 26 points gave Everson a new career-high.
Smoky Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailey Broom, who had five points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds. Aaliyah Voss was another key player, putting up 16 points and five boards.
East Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Smoky Mountain, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-12.
