Baseball Game Preview: Arroyo Valley Hawks vs. Miller Rebels

The Arroyo Valley Hawks will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Miller Rebels at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Arroyo Valley is headed out to face Miller after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Arroyo Valley walked away with a 4-0 win over San Gorgonio on Tuesday.

Jake Jimenez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he also posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Michael Rosas was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Miller had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jurupa Valley on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Nathan Lora, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
