Croatan extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kannon McBride. The Cougars took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 71-14 win over the East Carteret Mariners for which the team can thank McBride, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 19 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.

Croatan's record now sits at 3-1. As for East Carteret, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Croatan will head out on the road to face off against Cape Hatteras at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Carteret, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Craven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
