Northwestern is a perfect 4-0 against Indian Land since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Northwestern sitting on five straight victories and Indian Land on nine.
Northwestern is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Rock Hill: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Trojans blew the Bearcats out of the water with a 45-14 final score. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Zykel Reid and Xavier Means were among the main playmakers for Northwestern as the former rushed for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries and the latter rushed for 90 yards and two TDs. Those 121 rushing yards gave Reid a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Northwestern was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Northwestern, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Amarian Coleman, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Indian Land didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fort Mill on Friday, but they still walked away with a 20-16 win. Those 20 points were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Northwestern better keep an eye on Jamol Horton. He was instrumental in Indian Land's win, rushing for 156 yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Kucia, who threw for 285 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Indian Land's defense and their seven sacks. Leading the way was Michael Foster with three. Indian Land got some further help from Jackson Headley: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Indian Land, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Northwestern has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 233.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Indian Land struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 192.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Northwestern against Indian Land in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-6 victory. In that game, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 35-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
