Altha lost against Freeport back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Altha Wildcats took a 66-50 bruising from the Freeport Bulldogs. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Freeport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julius Miles, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The contest was Miles' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Perkins, who went 6 of 15 en route to 20 points and five rebounds.

Altha's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Freeport, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Altha Wildcats challenge the Jefferson County Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Freeport, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-51 win against Rocky Bayou Christian on the 10th.
