Baseball Recap: South Pasadena Takes a Loss

South Pasadena was the 7-1 winner over El Rancho when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The South Pasadena Tigers fell 9-6 to the El Rancho Dons on Tuesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Pasadena saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phil Malatesta, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Diego Gurfein was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

South Pasadena now has a losing record of 3-4. As for El Rancho, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, South Pasadena will take on California at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. California's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so South Pasadena's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for El Rancho, they will challenge Roosevelt at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
