Volleyball Recap: Eureka Falls Short Against Ranked St. Dominic

Eureka faced St. Dominic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-1.

Sami Brown paced Eureka's offense, picking up seven kills. Brown got some help from Shelbi Mead and her 15 assists. Katie Hunt controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for St. Dominic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2-2.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Incarnate Word Academy on the 30th. As for St. Dominic, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Jackson on the 27th.
