Basketball Recap: Ignite Athletics Comes Up Short

Ignite Athletics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 72-49 to the Hannan Wildcats. The Flames were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

Hannan can attribute much of their success to Philip Fugett, who posted 22 points. That's the most points Fugett has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Bryce Phillips, who earned 11 points.

Ignite Athletics' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hannan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ignite Athletics will take on Beth Haven Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ignite Athletics is facing Beth Haven Christian at the right time seeing as Beth Haven Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hannan, they will head out on the road to take on Sherman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
