Basketball Game Preview: Dominguez Dons vs. Orange Panthers

The Dominguez Dons just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Orange Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Wednesday, Dominguez got the win against Northview by a conclusive 57-36. The Dons pushed the score to 47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Orange took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They really took it to Samueli Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-30 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Firewolves: they've now won four in a row.

Dominguez better keep an eye on Sebastian Nunez. He was instrumental in Orange's win, going 10-for-12 en route to 22 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Those 22 points gave Nunez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Cruz, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 10 points.
