Volleyball Recap: Vermillion Comes Up Short

If Vermillion was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Beresford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tanagers came up short against the Dakota Valley Panthers on Friday, falling 3-0. The Tanagers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-7, 25-11.

Vermillion has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Dakota Valley, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 29-3.

Coming up, Vermillion will be playing in front of their home fans against Parker/Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dakota Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
