Recap: Lincoln vs. Natomas

The Lincoln Fighting Zebras had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Natomas. Considering Lincoln has won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Natomas with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alicia Osegueda (3), Rhaya Everts (2), and Sienna Maldonado.

Lincoln's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. As for Natomas, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1.

Lincoln will square off against Ripon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Lincoln is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 229th, while Ripon is ranked 491st). Natomas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
