Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was the 48-44 winner over Jasper when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats were outmatched by the Pirates and fell 62-24. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasper got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyson Davis out in front who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Davis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blake Williams, who put up ten points.

Marshall now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Jasper, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Jasper will face off against Yellville-Summit at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marshall will be paying especially close attention to the Pirates' game: after the Pirates face off against Hampton, they'll take on Marshall again at 5:00 p.m. on December 9.
