Volleyball Recap: Altamont Gets the Win

Altamont picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Heritage Hawks by a score of 2-0.

Kimber Sphar paced Altamont's offense, picking up four kills. Sphar got some help from Avery Fleeharty and her six assists. Finally, Sphar was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Addison Hopper, who had 17 digs. Hopper is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Altamont's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4-2. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6-1.

Altamont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Christ Our Rock Lutheran on the 6th. As for Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Cumberland on the 6th.
