Soccer Game Preview: Armuchee vs. Christian Heritage

The Armuchee Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Christian Heritage Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Armuchee's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Armuchee fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Fannin County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 2-1. Armuchee's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Christian Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Dalton Academy.

Christian Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Armuchee, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Armuchee might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Christian Heritage in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
