There's no place like home for Amsterdam, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Johnstown Sir Bills on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Sir Bills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Amsterdam wouldn't go down easily and took Johnstown into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 27-25, 23-25, 28-26, 15-7.

Katelyn Bull paced Amsterdam's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bull got some help from Jaslee Cage and her 18 assists. Skyler Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Amsterdam moved to 6-11 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Johnstown, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12-2.

Amsterdam wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Fonda-Fultonville on the 27th. As for Johnstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Mayfield on the 23rd.
