Football Game Preview: Cosby Titans vs. L.C. Bird Skyhawks + Official Tickets

Cosby is 1-9 against L.C. Bird since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Titans will take on the Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m.

Cosby came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by Midlothian 28-0.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for L.C. Bird on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Clover Hill out of the water with a 42-0 final score. The game marked the Skyhawks' most dominant win of the season.

Cosby better keep an eye on Tyrell Allen. He was instrumental in L.C. Bird's win, rushing for 189 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Allen is becoming a predictor of the Skyhawks' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Julian Burton was another key player, rushing for 89 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

L.C. Bird didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Thomas Delbridge and Ty Juan Taylor.

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for L.C. Bird, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Cosby ended up a good deal behind L.C. Bird when the teams last played back in November of 2024, losing 42-27. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
