Eastern came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions 54-51.

Eastern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Hampton out in front who posted ten points and seven boards. Tre'Von Darby was another key player, putting up ten points.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Eastern and Washington Latin Public Charter School will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Ramblers are set to square off against their familiar foe Woodson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Washington Latin Public Charter School will face off against rival KIPP DC Legacy College Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
