Basketball Recap: Tayshaun Dye's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Millington Central over Rossville Christian Academy

The Millington Central Trojans were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 53-47 to the Rossville Christian Academy Wolves.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tayshaun Dye, who posted 11 points. Darryl McDonald was another key player, putting up eight points.

Rossville Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Seth Williams out in front who had 14 points and eight rebounds. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kylan Alexander, who put up 11 points and six boards.

Millington Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rossville Christian Academy, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Millington Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-48 defeat against Harding Academy on the 25th. As for Rossville Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-40 victory against Oak Forest Academy on the 24th.
