Basketball Recap: Baylor Takes a Loss

Baylor lost against Knoxville Catholic back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Baylor Red Raiders took an 81-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tj Tipton had a dynamite game for Knoxville Catholic, going 6 for 7 to rack up 17 points along with eight boards and five steals. Tipton is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 17 games he's played. Cade Murphy was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Baylor's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Knoxville Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chattanooga Christian the next time they take the court. Knoxville Catholic will head out to face Chattanooga Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Baylor will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
