Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge suffered their closest loss since May 7, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Iroquois West Raiders by a score of 10-8. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Blue Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Hayward, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Hayward has posted since back in April of 2024. Addison Roos was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Iroquois West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Blue Ridge will challenge Oakwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iroquois West, they will take on Clifton Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
