Volleyball Recap: Godwin's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Godwin and Deep Run had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Godwin's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10. As for Deep Run, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Godwin will challenge Clover Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Deep Run, they will head out to square off against Glen Allen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
