Football Recap: Lewis County's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Scotts Hill two weeks ago, Lewis County came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 37-28 to the Lexington Tigers on Friday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Lewis County still got an impressive performance from Drew Ray, who rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns. Ray is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Kobe Feichtinger was another key player, picking up 117 receiving yards and one TD.

Lexington was led to victory by Amarion Arnold and Elye Pearson. Arnold rushed for 94 yards and a pair of scores, while Pearson picked up 115 receiving yards. The dominant performance also gave Arnold a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Having lost for the first time this season, Lewis County fell to 7-1. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Lewis County will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 12.5, the Tigers 7.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Lexington, they are taking a road trip to take on Hardin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington will be up against Hardin County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
