Basketball Recap: Prince George's Christian Academy Blue Takes a Loss

If Prince George's Christian Academy Blue was feeling good fresh off their 75-48 takedown of Rosedale Christian Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Prince George's Christian Academy Blue Flyers lost 86-66 to the Springdale Prep Lions on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flyers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-73 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Prince George's Christian Academy Blue still got an impressive performance from Wisdom Carter, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 18 points along with six boards and three steals. Carter is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kevin Jackson, who posted six points and ten assists.

Springdale Prep was led to victory by Elijah Mobley and Kisean Robinson. Mobley went 10 of 15 en route to 30 points, while Robinson went 10 for 16 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Those 30 points gave Mobley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amonte Johnson, who earned seven points and seven assists.

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-7 record this season. As for Springdale Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-6.

Prince George's Christian Academy Blue wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-49 victory against Virginia Academy on the 1st. As for Springdale Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-62 defeat against Fairfax Christian on the 3rd.
