Softball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Takes a Loss

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-1 to the Heritage Generals. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost five in a row.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayleigh Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will venture away from home to square off against Ridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will take on Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
