Basketball Recap: South River Takes a Loss

South River and Wall Township squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South River had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wall Township Crimson Knights, falling 67-43. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Crimson Knights are ranked 104th).

South River has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. The win (which was Wall Township's third in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

South River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wall Township, they will challenge Delaware Valley on Monday. Delaware Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 224 points over their last three contests.
