Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Mavericks are ranked 940th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tompkins has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Morton Ranch, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Tompkins has already played their next matchup, a 47-42 defeat against Cinco Ranch on the 16th. As for Morton Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-36 loss against Mayde Creek on the 16th.
