Volleyball Game Preview: Maud Cardinals vs. Bowie Pirates

The Maud Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Bowie Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maud is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Maud didn't have quite enough to beat Rivercrest and fell 3-2.

Maud couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Rivercrest a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 28-30, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Bowie lost 3-0 to Harts Bluff on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Harts Bluff scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Maud now has a losing record of 12-13-1. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Maud took their victory against Bowie in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
