Basketball Recap: Joell Morales' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fivay over Land O' Lakes + How To Watch

Fivay lost against Land O' Lakes back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The contest between the Falcons and the Gators didn't end well, with the Falcons falling 78-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (56), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joell Morales, who went 8-for-17 en route to 19 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Morales now owns an excellent 44.4% three-point shooting accuracy. Trevon Larry was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Fivay has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. As for Land O' Lakes, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fivay will welcome River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Land O' Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Zephyrhills at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
