Basketball Recap: Cottage Hill Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cottage Hill Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bryant Hurricanes. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Bryant had a senior duo take command as JT Esfeller shot 45% from the field on his way to 19 points and Virgil Dale dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dale has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makai Vongsengphachanh, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bryant, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Coming up, Cottage Hill Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.91 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
