Glencoe hadn't done well against Jacksonville recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Yellowjackets, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Glencoe who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 15-10.

Mia Talbot paced Glencoe's offense, picking up 14 kills. Talbot got some help from Kinlee Montgomery and her 14 assists.

Glencoe now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jacksonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Glencoe has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against White Plains on the 28th. As for Jacksonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Lincoln on the 28th.
