Soccer Recap: Seaman Takes a Loss

Seaman lost against Shawnee Heights back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Seaman have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Savannah Nelson, who's now up to three this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Seaman and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Shawnee Heights, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3-1.

Looking ahead, Seaman will challenge Lansing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seaman will be up against Lansing's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.33 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Shawnee Heights, they will square off against Leavenworth at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Leavenworth's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
