Basketball Recap: Stevens Comes Up Short

Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 58-19 loss at the hands of the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws.

Andra Stokes was Stevens' leading scorer, having posted seven points. Kamryan Johnson held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Jourdanton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Stevens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-41 win against Pleasanton on the 22nd. As for Jourdanton, they have also already played their next game, a 45-39 victory against Taft on the 22nd.
