Softball Recap: Mandarin Mustangs vs. Nease Panthers
Mandarin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nease Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.
Ryleigh Booth was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was MaKayla Oxley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Mandarin's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Nease, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
