Basketball Recap: Pavilion Comes Up Short

Pavilion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Golden Gophers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Notre Dame found their leader in sophomore Sofia Falleti, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards. Falleti's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shirley Thompson, who posted ten points and six boards.

Pavilion's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Notre Dame, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pavilion will welcome Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamsville North at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
