Springfield kept up with Troy until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for Troy, who have now won ten contests by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Springfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kevin Hipolito (2), Joshua Murphy (2), Matthew Barth, and Carson Furrow.

Troy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those four matchups. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Troy will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Stebbins at 7:00 p.m. As for Springfield, they are taking a road trip to take on Beavercreek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
