Notre Dame-Green Pond put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Saucon Valley Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Notre Dame-Green Pond got a great performance from Rachel Fisher as she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Fisher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hannah Lilly and Riley Palank did most of the damage at the plate: Lilly went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Palank went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Kelsey Bedics was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Notre Dame-Green Pond was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Notre Dame-Green Pond pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average this season. As for Saucon Valley, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame-Green Pond will head out to face off against Nazareth Area at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 2.4, the Blue Eagles 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Saucon Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Wilson Area at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
