Basketball Game Preview: Titusville Terriers vs. Rockledge Raiders

Titusville is 0-10 against Rockledge since January of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Titusville Terriers will face off against the Rockledge Raiders. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Titusville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They claimed a resounding 69-38 victory over Satellite. The Terriers pushed the score to 64-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Scorpions cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Rockledge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They strolled past the Commodores with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Commodores are ranked 586th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Titusville pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Rockledge, their victory bumped their record up to 17-9.

Titusville came up short against Rockledge when the teams last played back in January, falling 56-51. Can Titusville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
