Volleyball Recap: Laguna Beach Takes a Loss

Laguna Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Foothill Knights. If the Breakers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Laguna Beach actually scored more points across those five sets (113-109), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 15-25, 28-26, 27-24, 15-12.

Laguna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Foothill, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Laguna Beach and Foothill will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Breakers are set to challenge their familiar foe Rosary Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Foothill will square off against rival El Dorado at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
