Baseball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Union Eagles. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in June of 2025.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for East Union, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wayne will head out to square off against Nodaway Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Wolverines have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for East Union, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lenox at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
