Colton had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 52-29 margin over the Prescott Tigers. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Colton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Baysinger, who shot 57% from the field on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tanner Baerlocher, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and five steals.

Prescott is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Colton will challenge Genesee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prescott, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Walla Walla Valley Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
