After failing to score in their last contest, Rutherford made sure to put some goals up on the board against Port St. Joe on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won three matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Zavian Olds and Jensel Herrera scored all four of Rutherford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

The win got Rutherford back to even at 4-4-1. As for Port St. Joe, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Rutherford will head out to face off against Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Port St. Joe has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Maclay on the 13th.
