Football Recap: Laughlin Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Round Mountain

Laughlin faced Round Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cougars enjoyed a cozy 30-14 victory over the Knights. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Anthony Celi-Brookins had a dynamite game, throwing for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes, while also punching in one score on the ground. Those 146 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Laughlin's leading receiver Gianni Lopez was Celi-Brookins' top target yet again, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

The win snapped Laughlin's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Round Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-4.
