Baseball Game Preview: Monterey Dores vs. Salinas Cowboys

For the second straight game, Monterey will face off against Salinas. The Dores will challenge the Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Monterey took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Salinas a 2-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The result came thanks to Luke Miramontes's shutout, as he gave up just five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
