Volleyball Recap: Sophia Miller Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bishop Kenny walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Wakulla War Eagles on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-14.

Bishop Kenny's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Miller, who had seven aces and five digs. Miller is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Mia Ancayan was another key player, getting 13 assists and nine digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Bishop Kenny was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Bishop Kenny is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Wakulla, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-7.
