Football Recap: Ashton Barton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Peach County over Jenkins + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Peach County can now relate to. They fell 38-28 to the Jenkins Warriors on Friday.

Peach County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Barton, who rushed for 176 yards. Barton's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 117 rushing yards. Another back making a difference was Deandre Stinson, who gained 79 total yards and a touchdown.

Dominique Johnson produced another solid effort picking up 62 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 39 yards for Jenkins.

Peach County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Jenkins, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Peach County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jenkins, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-16 loss against West Laurens on the 28th.
