Basketball Recap: Whitewater Takes a Loss

Whitewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Upson-Lee Knights and fell 67-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-19 back in December of 2024.

Whitewater's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Upson-Lee, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.

Whitewater and Upson-Lee could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Whitewater will square off against Troup County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 390 places (517 vs. 127). Similarly, Upson-Lee (ranked 276th) will meet Sandy Creek (ranked 75th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
