Community Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors 15-3. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on five straight dating back to last season.

Kendell Hale and Cole Richardson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hale struck out seven batters over two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Richardson struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). At the plate, Hale scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Richardson scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Community Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Enoch Taylor, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Aiden Thomas, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Community Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Lure Classical Academy only posted an OBP of .389.

Community Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Piedmont Community Charter on the 13th. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will head out to square off against Asheville T at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th. Lake Lure Classical Academy has now lost 12 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the eighth.
