Volleyball Recap: La Cueva Wins High-Profile Match Against Santa Fe

La Cueva faced Santa Fe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bears put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

La Cueva walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.

La Cueva's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Embrey Eisele led the charge by getting 12 digs and two assists. That's the most assists Eisele has posted over her last seven contests.

Despite the loss, Santa Fe still got an impressive performance from Desiree Martinez, who had nine assists and six digs.

La Cueva's record now sits at 19-2. As for Santa Fe, they moved to 14-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.
