Franklin-Simpson dropped their record down to 18-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Logan County Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Franklin-Simpson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Delk, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Logan County, their record now sits at 17-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Franklin-Simpson since May 17, 2022.

On Logan County's side, Tate McLean spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. McLean has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ty'Sean Thomeczek was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Mosley, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin-Simpson will challenge Westmoreland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Logan County, they will face off against Glasgow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
